# Generation Football

> Generation Football (generationfootball.co.uk) is a collection of free daily football (soccer) trivia and guessing games. Players test their football knowledge across five games — guessing players from stats and clues, completing grids, and unscrambling names — playable solo, in daily challenges, or in real-time multiplayer rooms. No account is required to play; an account unlocks unlimited modes, leaderboards, and a PRO subscription.

Each game offers a daily challenge (same puzzle for everyone, once per day) and most also offer an unlimited practice mode. Answers are validated on the server and never sent to the client, so the puzzle can't be spoiled by inspecting the page.

## Games

- [Football 501](https://generationfootball.co.uk/football-501): A darts-style "501" game. Players name footballers matching a question (e.g. "Premier League appearances for Tottenham players") to subtract that player's stat from a starting score of 501; first to reach zero wins. Supports solo play and real-time multiplayer rooms.
- [Player Roulette](https://generationfootball.co.uk/player-roulette): Guess the mystery footballer from progressively revealed career clues — clubs, seasons, nationality, position, international career, and per-season appearances/goals.
- [Transfer Roulette](https://generationfootball.co.uk/transfer-roulette): Identify the player behind a real transfer from clues about the clubs involved, the fee, and the season.
- [Football Jumble](https://generationfootball.co.uk/football-jumble): A word/anagram game — unscramble footballer surnames from a daily grid of letters.
- [Fill the Grid](https://generationfootball.co.uk/fill-the-grid): A 3x3 grid where each cell is the intersection of two criteria (club, nationality, or achievement); name a player satisfying both. Daily, unlimited, local, and online multiplayer modes.
